The performance of EndoTherm was piloted within the swimming pool Air Handling Unit (AHU) at Stowe School, a co-educational boarding school in Stowe, Buckinghamshire..

The pilot focused on the 25 meter heated swimming pool. The air temperature is regulated by an air handling unit (AHU) system which is served by two kerosene fuelled, 180kW Ideal Boilers.

The heating system is measured and monitored by a telemetric system which calculates the kerosene usage for comparison purposes. EndoTherm installation took place in November 2015.

Maintaining a comfortable temperature in a swimming pool building can be challenging due to the high heat loss associated with large volumes of water and high evaporation rates. The continuous need to replace lost heat and regulate air temperature can result in increased energy consumption. EndoTherm however proved itself by delivering a significant energy saving in this application.

In only 3 months of using EndoTherm, Stowe School saved 7,400Kg of CO₂e in the swimming pool building. This carbon reduction is equivalent to:
