RCT Homes - Fanheulog Sheltered Accommodation Scheme.

EndoTherm Energy Saving Case Study
Wales, United Kingdom

EndoTherm was piloted by RCT Homes in five flats/bungalows selected from the Fanheulog sheltered accommodation scheme.

Originally built in 1973, the scheme is made up of 32 flats and bungalows, which saw renovations as recently as 2014. Each property is relatively small with 4 or 5 radiators per accomodation.

The pilot was run and controlled by an independent contractor who oversaw installation of a full monitoring system which provides half hourly readings on gas consumption whilst monitoring the flow, returns and internal/external temperatures. A power flush was conducted on each site selected for trial, additionally other sites were flushed to provide a basis for comparison.

Using EndoTherm to reduce space heating energy consumption for people who live in sheltered accommodation schemes provides reduced heating costs to those that stand to benefit the most.

Over only 7-months of using EndoTherm, the installs at Fanheulog Sheltered Accomodation Scheme saved 691Kg of CO₂e. This carbon reduction is equivalent to:
