Hyndburn Homes - Friar Court

EndoTherm Energy Saving Case Study
Lancashire, United Kingdom

EndoTherm was piloted by Hyndburn Homes (now known as Onward Homes) at Friar Court, a retirement and sheltered housing scheme located in Accrington, Lancashire.

Hyndburn Homes is one of the largest registered providers of social housing based solely in the North West of England, responsible for 35,000 homes across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.

Friar Court consists of 30 single bedroomed flats along with social areas, a library and
assisted bathing facilities.

Using EndoTherm to reduce space heating energy consumption means reduced energy bills for the residents. This can be particularly beneficial for retirees or individuals on fixed incomes, helping to make their living costs more affordable.

Implementing energy-saving measures can promote awareness and education about energy conservation among the residents and staff. This encourages a sense of responsibility towards the environment and can lead to the adoption of similar practices in other aspects of daily life.

After a 6-month analysis period of using EndoTherm at Friar Court, Hyndburn Homes saved 5,185Kg of CO₂e. This carbon reduction is equivalent to:
